British Sheepskin Rugs

Glencroft British sheepskin rugs are made from British sheep and fully tanned in the UK. Since we began in 1987, every sheepskin rug has been hand-finished in our Dales warehouse by founder Richard Sexton. While many ‘British’ rugs found online are made from British sheep but tanned overseas, we partner with the last remaining commercial UK sheepskin tanners, ensuring our rugs have never left these shores. This UK tanning process results in rugs that are often easier to clean than their imported counterparts.

Each sheepskin rug or pouf is unique, drawn from over 50 British breeds of white or naturally coloured sheep, including spotty Jacobs, distinctive Badger Face Welsh Mountain, coarse grey Herdwicks, and more. Most of our hand-finished British sheepskin rugs are sent to specialist retailers across the UK, with only a limited selection of unique, rare breed sheepskin rugs available on our website each month.
