Nettle Badger Face Welsh Mountain Breed Sheepskin Rug

This cream short woolled rare breed sheepskin rug features some dark brown (almost black) patches at either edge as well as a brown and grey highlights. 

As our sheepskins are tanned in bulk, all mixed together, we can only guess at the exact breed based on colour and texture. In this case we think this unique sheepskin may well be from a Badger Face Welsh Mountain from the distinct markings. This Welsh breed has a dark stripe along its belly which produces these dark edges on a rug.

The sheepskin is very soft, with some variation in the fleece length with shorter haired wool on either edge as well as small bald patches, deliberately left when the rug is hand trimmed to prevent it from curling under. 

Like all our single British sheepskin rugs, it has been tanned in the UK and hand finished in our Yorkshire Dales warehouse.
