For over 35 years, we’ve been committed to creating high-quality countrywear that reflects the heritage, values, and spirit of the Yorkshire Dales. Our award-winning Clapdale Wool project is at the very heart of this – an initiative that brings together local farmers, traditional craftsmanship, and sustainable practices.
From sheep grazing on local farms to the finished knitwear made right here in the North of England, every step of the process is designed to be fully traceable and to support the rural economy.
Our long-term ambition is to use Clapdale Wool across all our knitwear, ensuring a truly circular, sustainable supply chain that benefits Yorkshire’s farming community for generations to come.

While the award bears our name, we see it as a recognition of the entire rural community. Without the farmers who care for the flocks, the skilled craftspeople who bring our products to life, and the customers who continue to support British-made countrywear, this achievement simply wouldn’t be possible.
