Traceable Clapdale Wool Dalesbred Wash Bag

A tweed travel bag, made in the UK from Traceable British Wool tweed cloth and lined with black cotton. Available in bright country green or light grey plaid.

This tweed cloth is manufactured in Yorkshire from the Dalesbred breed of sheep as part of our Clapdale Wool project.

The Dalesbred wool in this cloth has gone no further than 50 miles from the sheep it was sheared from, to the yarn spinners and to the mill the cloth was woven in.*

We've designed these bags to last, a reliable small bag that's made from this unique Dales sheep breed and contributes to the economy of our local area.

While these are wash bag size with a thick cotton lining, we'd recommend avoiding getting them too wet, as the lining is not waterproof.

*Contains a blend of Dalesbred and Cheviot wool. We originally wanted a 100% Dalesbred tweed but we found the fibre of this mountain sheep breed would have been too thick on its own to go through the weaving machines. We therefore had to source a finer wool to blend it with.
