As our sheepskins are tanned in bulk, all mixed together, we can only guess at the exact breed based on colour and texture. We think this unique sheepskin may be a North Ronaldsay or Orkney sheep due to the colouring. This British sheepskin consists of various shades of grey and cream, with some subtle brown highlights.
The rug is reasonable soft on the surface, and extremely matted underneath, giving the rug great depth. It is a very very thick fleeced sheepskin.
Like all our rugs, it has been tanned in the UK and hand finished in our Yorkshire Dales warehouse.
Most Glencroft sheepskins go to specialist independent retailers across the country. We pick a few out each week for sale online, once they're gone they're gone!
