Queensbury Herdwick Breed British Sheepskin Rug

This British sheepskin is a combination of various shades of grey, brown and cream, the distinctive colourings of the the Herdwick breed.

The fleece is slightly softer than a typical Herdwick, but still has a slight coarse feel in some areas - it may well be a part cross-breed. The Herdwick is a mountain sheep breed common to the hills and fells of the Lake District and the coarse and wiry fleece is perfect to keep it warm in this environment.

You'll see from the photos that it is not perfectly symmetrical due to the way it's been hand trimmed. The rug is slightly wider than it is long making it almost square in shape, please see exact measurements below.

Like all our rugs, it has been tanned in the UK and hand finished in our Yorkshire Dales warehouse.
