This rare breed sheepskin rug is primarily dark brown with some cream splodges. Although our sheepskins are tanned in bulk and we can't be certain of the breed, we believe this is likely from a Jacob sheep breed.
Lovely and soft, the fleece consists of longer tufty hair on top, with more tightly matted wool underneath, giving the rug a great thickness.
There is a slight dip in the centre of the rug, likely from where the rain has flattened down the top of the sheep's back over the year.
Like all our rugs, it has been tanned in the UK and hand finished in our Yorkshire Dales warehouse.
Most Glencroft sheepskins go to specialist independent retailers across the country. We pick a few out each week for sale online, once they're gone they're gone!
