This rare breed sheepskin rug is primarily dark brown speckled with cream. Although our sheepskins are tanned in bulk and we can't be certain of the breed, we believe this is likely from a Jacob or a Dutch Spotted sheep breed.
Lovely and soft, the fleece consists of longer tufty hair on top, with very matted wool at the root. There is some variation in the fleece length, with small bald patches found on either edge. These are common on natural sheepskins and deliberately remaining to prevent the rug from curling under.
Like all our rugs, it has been tanned in the UK and hand finished in our Yorkshire Dales warehouse.
