This lovely soft rare breed sheepskin rug is predominantly cream, speckled with numerous very dark grey highlights. Depending on the lighting it can appear pretty much black and white, our photos have been taken indoors under natural light.
The fleece is soft to touch, with wispy longer hair on top and tightly packed wool beneath the surface, adding a lovely depth to the rug.
There is some variation with the fleece length, with longer, more coarse wool in the bottom corners and very small bald patches on the edges, common on natural sheepskins and correspond to the different parts of the animal.
Like all our rugs, it has been tanned in the UK and hand finished in our Yorkshire Dales warehouse.
Most Glencroft sheepskins go to specialist independent retailers across the country. We pick a few out each week for sale online, once they're gone they're gone!
