A traditional outdoor hat made in the UK from a locally woven British Wool tweed.

The distinctive shape of the ghillie is similar to the deerstalker but without ear flaps. It features a peak at the front and back to keep the sun (or rain) off your face and neck. It can also be bent in half at the middle without damage to easily fit into your pocket.

Our ghillie hats have been expertly made entirely in the North of England from the highest quality materials - a 100% British Wool tweed woven in our local Yorkshire mill and they are lined with a quilted GOTS certified organic cotton lining - materials that make this one of our most sustainable hats.

Available in three tweeds: Green Herringbone, Green Check and Brown Plaid (Tartan).

Manufacturing update: Only size small in stock currently. We hope to start manufacturing these again in 2025.

Materials

100% British Wool: This hat is manufactured in the UK from tweed woven in Yorkshire from wool sourced only from British sheep farmers. Every hat is then lined with padded GOTS certified organic cotton lining for comfort and natural breathability. We've been making hats properly in the UK for over 35 years and each one is built to last.
