This genuine British Herdwick breed of sheepskin is several shades of grey with some brown highlights, the natural colouring of this Lake District mountain breed.
The wool is softer to touch than usually found with Herdwicks, although there is still some wirey hairs amongst it. The wool is EXTREMELY matted beneath the surface and clumped together, adding a padded feel to the rug. This is typical of a breed that spends its life in a harsh mountain environment.
Every sheepskin is tanned in the UK and hand-finished in house. We pick a few out each week for sale online. Once they're gone they're gone!
