A 1.9kg cone of worsted spun undyed 2-ply 2/9 Nm British wool yarn created from our Clapdale traceable Yorkshire wool project, perfect for machine knitting garments.

Manufactured exclusively by Glencroft from fleeces collected from seven farms within 10 miles of our warehouse in Clapham, Yorkshire Dales. The wool contains all the sheep breeds on these local farms - Dalesbred, Blue Face Leicester (BFL), North of England Mule and Texel.

This 2-ply yarn has been worsted spun for the purposes of machine knitting and we've manufactured our Thwaite jumpers using it (on Stoll machines).

If you're a designer or fashion house looking for the most traceable British yarn you can find suitable for making small runs of quality British knitwear then this is the yarn for you.

Manufactured exclusively by Glencroft from fleeces collected from two farms within 5 miles of our warehouse in Clapham, Yorkshire Dales. This is a reasonably coarse British wool yarn, that makes exceedingly warm knitwear.

This is undyed so is predominately a natural cream colour with a tiny amount of darker black and brown wool fibres.

Length: Approximately 8,550 metres.

Materials

Clapdale Wool: Our wool is sourced from 7 farms within 10 miles of Glencroft's Yorkshire Dales home, in the dale of 'Clapdale'. Our farmers are paid more for their wool than at auction and receive a share of the profits of every product sold. The wool is then processed, from farm to yarn, within just 50 miles of the sheep it comes from. Certified as Traceable British Wool.
