Thwaite II Zig Zag Pattern Jumper - Clapdale Wool

A thick and warm woolly jumper made to last a lifetime, from our own traceable Clapdale Wool yarn - the wool in this jumper is entirely sourced within 5 miles of Clapham in the Yorkshire Dales.

Designed around the very yarn it is made from, this piece is very heavy (containing nearly 1kg of our Clapdale Wool), featuring a deep-grooved zig-zag pattern that adds depth and shadow to the natural, undyed fleece and reflects our neighbouring mountains and hills.

The Evolution of the Thwaite
In 2023, we launched the original Thwaite as a limited run of 50 numbered jumpers. It was a standalone project to see what our local wool could achieve, complete with a presentation box, spare yarn, and photo of a local farmer.

Thwaite II
That first edition marked chapter one. Over the past 12 months, we have worked to produce the design in a higher quantity while preserving every detail of the original craftsmanship.

With the original design work already established, and by producing a larger run with a new manufacturing partner, we’ve been able to make the Thwaite II more efficiently and pass those savings on.

Each Thwaite II jumper comes with an illustrated booklet documenting the journey of the wool from Yorkshire farms to finished knitwear.
