Knit your own child's scarf and beanie from our traceable Clapdale Wool.

Each kit contains two 100g hanks of our traceable Clapdale Wool - you pick the colour - as well as printed knitting instructions to make your own. The photos show the natural undyed 'cream' colour.

This unique design has been created by our local knitting expert Sandra Oakeshott, as well as fully tested and knitted using our wool to make sure the knitwear set looks and feel great.

Clapdale Wool is manufactured exclusively by Glencroft from fleeces collected from two farms within 5 miles of our warehouse in Clapham, Yorkshire Dales. The wool contains all the sheep breeds on these local farms - Dalesbred, Blue Face Leicester (BFL), North of England Mule and Texel.

It has produced a beautiful DK weight yarn with a reasonably soft handle. The wool is certified as "British Wool Traceable" and of course has the gorgeous smell of real wool.

Materials

Clapdale Wool: Our wool is sourced from 7 farms within 10 miles of Glencroft's Yorkshire Dales home, in the dale of 'Clapdale'. Our farmers are paid more for their wool than at auction and receive a share of the profits of every product sold. The wool is then processed, from farm to yarn, within just 50 miles of the sheep it comes from. Certified as Traceable British Wool.
