Snaresbrook Brown and Cream Jacob British Sheepskin Rug

This British sheepskin rug is from a Jacob breed, with its characteristic dark brown and cream spotty colouring.

The colour of our rugs vary under different lighting, our photos were taken inside under natural light. The cream can look more golden under artificial lighting.

Texture wise, the rug is soft to touch, with tufty hair above a more tightly packed layer of wool underneath, giving the rug a lovely depth.

There is some variation with the fleece length - shorter wool patches creating an unusual stepped feature on either edge, as well as some small bald patches. These are both common on natural sheepskins and correspond to the different parts of the animal. The wool is also shorter in the middle of the rug, likely where the rain has flattened the sheeps back over the year. 

You will see from the picture of the rug laid flat that it is not symmetrical. 

Like all our rugs, it has been tanned in the UK and hand finished in our Yorkshire Dales warehouse. Most Glencroft sheepskins go to specialist independent retailers across the country. We pick a few out every week for sale online, once they're gone they're gone!
