This shaggy, British rare breed sheepskin consists of several shades of grey with some subtle brown highlights, and a striking dark central stripe.

As our sheepskins are tanned in bulk, all mixed together, we can only guess at the exact breed based on colour and texture. In this case we think this unique sheepskin may well be a North Ronaldsey breed or possibly a Herdwick cross (it's far too soft and woolly to be a genuine Herdwick).

The wool is reasonably soft and very woolly, with some coarser areas within the fleece. It is very thick which gives it the chunky rustic texture you can see in the photos.

Like all our rugs, it has been tanned in the UK and hand finished in our Yorkshire Dales warehouse.

Most Glencroft sheepskins go to specialist independent retailers across the country. We  pick a few out each week for sale online, once they're gone they're gone!

You will receive the EXACT rug in these photos.

Materials

Real Sheepskin: The UK has more sheep breeds than any other country - over 60 and counting - and many more cross breeds and imports.

Glencroft British sheepskin rugs are 100% British and entirely by-products of the meat industry - that means they are from British sheep, tanned in a British tannery, and hand finished in our Yorkshire Dales warehouse.
